KAMPUNG GUJI COMPUTER LAB
the problem
Currently, 80% of Indonesian SMK graduates are unable to be absorbed by our workforce. Our growing economy comes with it a growing demand for skilled talents to be equipped with critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy skills.
our solution
Second Chance initiative is supporting HORE Foundation to build a computer lab in Kampung Guji, Jakarta Barat. In addition to their learning centre that focuses on character development, our mission is to teach coding to the children there.
ABOUT THE COMPUTER LAB
The lab will serve as a multifunctional community space. For the adults, it can be use for job searching, community meetings, etcetera. For HORE’s children, the lab will function to teach pro-bono computer lessons .
Through this computer lab, we hope to give the children in Kampung Guji technical and vocational trainings, especially in computer and information systems, in order to prepare them better for the 21st century labor challenge.
