Empowering locals: Mental Rehabilitation Home

All humans have equal worth in God's eyes. Second Chance Initiative is proud to announce our fundraising effort for a local mental rehab community center in Ancol, Jakarta.

Mental health is still a very highly stigmatized problem in Indonesia. Many are without access; few are willing to help.

"A country of 250 million people, Indonesia has only 600 to 800 psychiatrists—one for every 300,000 to 400,000 people—and  48 mental hospitals, more than half in just 4 of Indonesia’s 34 provinces." (Human Rights Watch)

Second Chance Initiative is proud to announce our fundraising effort for a local mental rehab community center in Ancol, Jakarta. We are fundraising USD$2,000 in 20 days. If just 100 of you donate US$20, We could accomplish the goal of funding their building for 2 more years!

Recognizing the importance of local empowerment, we identified dedicated residents who have ran a mental health center for the mentally ill in their area.

Through our #Give20 campaign, we were able to fundraise USD$700 in less than a month. Thanks to our generous supporter, the center can still provide continued support and care for those who needed it.
